The journey

The luxury
of taking
your time.

Bhutan reveals itself slowly. In the sound of prayer flags moving in the wind, the warmth of a farmhouse kitchen and the changing light across a mountain valley.

Slow Bhutan is designed around fewer plans and more space. Spend a little longer in each place. Follow a footpath because it looks inviting. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast without watching the clock.

There is still much to discover, but nothing to rush. Every day is private, flexible and shaped around how you feel.

Moments that stay with you

Small moments.
Lasting memories.

Experiences chosen for their sense of place, not for how much can fit into a day.

Space to reconnect

Leave room
for wonder.

Not every memorable experience needs an itinerary. An afternoon at your lodge, a conversation over tea or a gentle walk through a village can become the highlight of your journey.

For those who wish, we can also arrange visits to monasteries, traditional wellness experiences and walks adapted to your comfort and interests.

Your suggested itinerary

Nine days,
at your
own pace.

A gentle journey through western Bhutan, with longer stays and room for spontaneous discoveries. The route can be extended, shortened or adjusted to suit your interests.

Meet your private guide at Paro Airport and settle into your lodge. Enjoy the mountain views, take a short stroll if you wish and spend the rest of the day resting after your journey.

DAY 02

Paro, gently explored

Discover the valley at a relaxed pace. Visit a historic temple or the National Museum, enjoy a leisurely lunch and leave the afternoon free for your lodge or a walk through town.

DAY 03

Paro to Thimphu

Travel to Bhutan’s capital, stopping for photographs or tea along the way. Explore a local market or a traditional crafts centre before settling into your accommodation.

Cross Dochula Pass and descend into the warmer Punakha Valley. Enjoy the scenery along the way and arrive with plenty of time to relax at your riverside or hillside retreat.

Visit Punakha Dzong and enjoy a gentle walk through rice fields or nearby villages. The afternoon is yours to spend at the lodge, perhaps with a wellness treatment or tea overlooking the valley.
